About Dr. Andrew Sweet

Dr. Andrew Sweet is a general dentist dedicated to delivering thoughtful, comprehensive dental care with a focus on prevention, education, and long-term oral health.

Originally from Prince George, B.C., Dr. Sweet completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. While there, he served as president of his graduating class, highlighting his early commitment to leadership and excellence in dentistry.

After considering several post-doctoral specialty programs, Dr. Sweet chose to focus on general dentistry, where he could care for a wide variety of patients and build long-term relationships. Since graduating, he has pursued extensive continuing education across North America—including advanced training at the renowned Kois Center in Seattle.

Most recently, Dr. Sweet completed the Vancouver Maxi Course, a 300-hour comprehensive implant program delivered at multiple locations across North America. His advanced restorative work was published in the January 2025 issue of Compendium, a respected peer-reviewed dental journal. He is also a proud recipient of the Merit Award from the British Columbia Dental Association, recognizing his significant contributions to dentistry in the province.

Dr. Sweet has been practicing in Victoria since 2010 and takes pride in helping patients make informed, confident decisions about their oral health. His philosophy is simple: when care is well-planned and proactive, patients experience fewer emergencies, less invasive treatments, and better long-term outcomes.
